Pompetravaini was born in the distant past of 1929, through the entrepreneurship of its founder Carlo Travaini, father of the present President Engineer Mario Travaini.  The company produces liquid ring vacuum pumps and systems, centrifugal pumps for diathermic oils and a very wide range of centrifugal pumps for capacities up to 2000 m3/h and pressures up to 64bars. WORKING PRINCIPLE

The shaft is eccentrically fitted inside the pump's body. It is neccessry to feed the pump with service liquid (usually water). While the pump is rotating and due to the centrifugal force, the service liquid forms a liquid ring, concentric with the pump's body. Incomming air is trapped within the impeller's blades and the liquid ring. Air is gradually compressed and is finally expelled towards the pump's outlet.

Due to the compression of th air, the temparature of the service liquid is gragually increasing. It is neccessary to supply the pump with new fresh service liquid or in case of total recirculation to effectively cool the service liquid.

   
Applications
   

Liquid ring vacuum pumps can suck any kind of gas, providing that this is chemically compatible with pump's materials and that does not react with the service liquid. They are used in central vacuum units in hospitals, in pharmaceutical factories, in slaughter houses, in tobacco drying ovens, in textile industries and wherever vacuum creation is required.

TRMX, in close-coupled version
Pompetravaini new liquid ring pump series TRMX 250 and TRMX 320 are single stage, variable-port design, featuring greater performance than the previous TRMB pump series. Compact dimensions and volume 50% less compared with the traditional liquid ring vacuum pump designs.

TRVX,  in bare shaft version

The new series of single stage, variported, design liquid ring vacuum pumps TRVX 1000 and TRVX 1250 introduce a new design in performance and reliability concepts.  The pump weight is average 30% less compared with the traditional liquid ring vacuum pump designs with compact supporting components dimensions. This advantage allows an installation and transportation costs saving.
